Choose the start and end dates, then select whether the end date counts. The start date is included when it is a weekday. Reversing the dates returns a negative result, preserving the direction of the interval.
How the calculation works
A standard weekday count includes Monday through Friday and excludes Saturday and Sunday. Endpoint conventions matter: including both dates can add one working day when the end falls on a weekday.
Public holidays are not universal. They vary by country, region, employer, and year, so this calculator deliberately does not subtract them. Review an authoritative calendar before using the result for payroll, filing, contracts, or official deadlines.

Dates are processed as Gregorian calendar days and weekends are identified in UTC-safe day steps, preventing daylight-saving changes from skipping or duplicating a date.
The calculator excludes only Saturday and Sunday. It has no holiday calendar and cannot interpret contracts, laws, workplace schedules, or regional observances.
